Meet the Team

MARTIN DOBSON

DIRECTOR

Martin has spent his working life in the motor trade. He qualified as a technician, and was a workshop controller in a main dealership by 22. In 1999 he set up Dobson Motors. Always on the lookout for new opportunities, Martin has worked hard to build a business with integrity and quality, valuing customer care, quality service and value for money.
Outside of the business his wife and four children keep him busy and aside from family time his favourite things are watching rugby and motorsports.

MIKE SMITH

SERVICE MANAGER

Mike’s wealth of experience in the automobile trade means he knows what he’s talking about: you’ll meet him at the front desk, and he’s responsible for making sure that each job is scheduled and assigned to the right person in the workshop.

When he’s not working long hours at Dobson Motors he plays football and goes fishing.

GEORGE NICHOLLS

PARTS MANAGER

George knows the trade inside out and one of the favourite parts of his job is meeting the customers. He might be the person who collects your car or brings it home after a service. When he’s not at Dobson Motors George likes dog walking, gardening and DIY.

MIKE WALLIS

TECHNICIAN

Mike spends his time on the shop floor, diagnosing, servicing and M.O.T.ing. With 15 years experience, he certainly knows his way around a car. He says the best bit of his job is sending cars home fixed and working properly. Outside of work he’s an amateur photographer and loves spending quality time with his family.

STUART TULEY

TECHNICIAN

Stuart works on the shop floor, diagnosing and repairing cars. He has worked with cars for almost four decades so there’s not a car problem he hasn’t experienced! He likes nothing better than getting a car fixed for a customer. In his spare time he plays sport and does DIY.

PAUL SIMS

TECHNICIAN

Involved with diagnostics, servicing and MOTs, in fact anything to do with repairing a motor vehicle, Paul has 15 years experience in the motor trade. In his spare time he likes to spend time with his son and also watches Superbike and Rugby.

DENISE ROBSON

OFFICE MANAGER

It’s difficult to think of a job Denise doesn’t do. She’s responsible for keeping diaries, accounts, paying suppliers, keeping the website up to date, answering phones, admin, advertising, customer relations, collecting and dropping off customers, so it’s just as well that Denise loves being busy. When she’s not at work she likes walking with her three dogs, reading and spending time with her family.
